Dear Sir,
Regarding the initiation of Interoperable transactions between Banks, MFS Providers, and Payment Service Providers through the National Payment Switch Bangladesh (NPSB).
In order to reduce cash transactions in the country, an initiative has been taken to promote Interoperable transactions among all banks, MFS providers, and payment service providers using the NPSB infrastructure. In this regard, the following instructions are provided to all concerned parties to commence Interoperable transactions:
(1) Starting from November 01, 2025, banks, payment service providers, and MFS providers shall commence live transactions in the Interoperable system.
(2) In the case of fund transfers in the Interoperable system, the sending bank, payment service provider, and MFS provider may collect a maximum of 0.15%, 0.20%, and 0.85% respectively, inclusive of VAT, as fees/charges from their customer (sender). The applicable fee/charge amount must be displayed to the customer prior to the fund transfer, and it must be collected from the customer's (sender's) account. No fee/charge shall be collected from the recipient.
(3) In the case of fund transfers in the Interoperable system, the prescribed transaction limits shall apply depending on the type of account held with the concerned bank/payment service provider/MFS provider.
(4) In the case of fund transfers from a customer of one bank to another bank using the internet banking fund transfer method under the purview of NPSB, the fees/charges mentioned in PSD Circular No. 02 dated February 06, 2025, shall apply.
