23 OCTOBER 2023 FORMAL CONSULTATION ON SUBORDINATE LEGISLATION OF THE FINANCIAL INSTITUTIONS AND MARKETS ACT (FIMA) The Namibia Financial Institutions Supervisory Authority (NAMFISA) herewith informs the public impacted by the implementation of the Financial Institutions and Markets Act, No. 2 of 2021, of the following.

  1. NAMFISA has uploaded the recently gazetted Subordinate Legislation (Government Gazette #8237 – GENERAL NOTICE NO. 659 dated 18 October 2023), on the NAMFISA website, accessible via the link below: ➢ Link: https://www.namfisa.com.na/legislative-instruments/
  2. The public is encouraged to review and provide comments on the subordinate legislation.
  3. Kindly submit your comments in the format of the enclosed “Comments Template”, on or before 24 November 2023 to Ms. Anesia Cloete at acloete@namfisa.com.na and a copy to projectnewdawn@namfisa.com.na.
