27 MARCH 2026 FEEDBACK ON PUBLIC COMMENTS ON THE FORMAL CONSULTATION PROCESS OF THE STANDARDS AND REGULATIONS OF THE FINANCIAL INSTITUTIONS AND MARKETS ACT, 2021 The Namibia Financial Institutions Supervisory Authority (NAMFISA) herewith informs the public of the following: • The consideration of industry representations/comments as part of the formal consultation process on the Financial Institutions Markets Act, 2021 (Act No. 2 of 2021) (FIMA) subordinate legislation, as outlined below, was finalized. o Chapter 3 - FM.S.3.10: Governance o Chapter 4 – CIS.S.4.2: Transfer and Amalgamation of Participatory Interests in CIS o Chapter 4 – CIS.S.4.19: Governance • For ease of reference, all representations/comments from the industry and corresponding consideration are arranged as per the Chapters of the FIM Act. • Responses on how the representations/comments were addressed are available on the NAMFISA website: https://www.namfisa.com.na/regulatory-frameworks/. • The updated Standards have been uploaded on the NAMFISA website. The industry is requested to familiarize itself with the final versions of the subordinate legislation, available on the website: https://www.namfisa.com.na/regulatory-frameworks/.
