Public Notice – FIMA Act Formal Consultation
The Namibia Financial Institutions Supervisory Authority (NAMFISA) has released updated subordinate regulations and standards under the Financial Institutions and Markets Act for industry review. Regulated entities must submit their feedback using the prescribed Comments Template directly to Ms. Anesia Cloete by 28 February 2022. The notice provides direct access to the updated documents on the NAMFISA website and designates specific contacts for submission queries.
23 NOVEMBER 2021 FORMAL CONSULTATIONS ON FINANCIAL INSTITUTIONS AND MARKETS ACT (FIMA) SUBORDINATE LEGISLATION The Namibia Financial Institutions Supervisory Authority (NAMFISA) herewith informs its regulated industry impacted by the implementation of the Financial Institutions and Markets Act, no. 2 of 2021 of the following:
- The updated Regulations and Standards are uploaded on the NAMFISA website. The Regulations and Standards can be accessed by using the link below. Link: https://www.namfisa.com.na/legislative-instruments/
- The industry may commence with reviewing and providing comments on the subordinate legislation.
- Kindly address your responses, in the format of the enclosed “Comments Template” on or before 28 February 2022, directly to Ms. Anesia Cloete at acloete@namfisa.com.na and copying projectnewdawn@namfisa.com.na.
