SECURITIES COMMISSION OF THE BAHAMAS PUBLIC NOTICE No. 6 of 2026 19 February 2026 RE: TRADE MARKET – CRYPTOCURRENCY MINING INVESTMENT SCAM This NOTICE is issued by the Securities Commission of The Bahamas (the Commission) pursuant to its authority under the Securities Industry Act 2024, the Investment Funds Act 2019, the Financial and Corporate Service Providers Act 2020, and the Digital Assets and Registered Exchanges Act 2024 (the Acts). It has come to the attention of the Commission that an entity called TRADE MARKET (TM) may be conducting activities in or from within The Bahamas, that are either registrable/licensable or illegal under one or more of the Acts. The Commission hereby advises the public that TM and its agents/representatives are not registered with or licensed by the Commission. Its activities may be such that they constitute violations of one or more of the Acts. BACKGROUND The Commission has received information that Bahamians have been targeted and solicited via social media platforms, namely Telegram and WhatsApp, to invest in cryptocurrency mining programs. Investors are invited to purchase various packages that promise exaggerated rates of return. After making payments into the program, by various methods, investors are directed to the website: https://trademarketplus.com to view a purported report of the investment progress. The investors are subsequently unable to withdraw funds from the account and are pressured to make more and more payments to get the withdrawal, in addition to being charged the cost of purported transaction fees. Ultimately, the investors are not able to withdraw any funds resulting in total loss of their money. WARNING Individuals currently (or desirous of) conducting business with this entity or its agents/representatives should be aware that they are doing so with entities and/or their agents who are not authorized or regulated by the Commission. Members of the public should exercise extreme caution when considering conducting securities and/or digital asset activities with the aforementioned entity or its agents/representatives.
