Public Notice on FIMA Act Formal Consultation
The Namibia Financial Institutions Supervisory Authority (NAMFISA) requires regulated entities to review and submit comments on updated FIMA Act subordinate legislation. Industry stakeholders must utilize the enclosed Comments Template to direct their responses to designated officials by 28 February 2022. All revised regulations and standards are now accessible via the NAMFISA website to facilitate this formal consultation process.
23 NOVEMBER 2021 FORMAL CONSULTATIONS ON FINANCIAL INSTITUTIONS AND MARKETS ACT (FIMA) SUBORDINATE LEGISLATION The Namibia Financial Institutions Supervisory Authority (NAMFISA) herewith informs its regulated industry impacted by the implementation of the Financial Institutions and Markets Act, no. 2 of 2021 of the following:
- The updated Regulations and Standards are uploaded on the NAMFISA website. The Regulations and Standards can be accessed by using the link below. Link: https://www.namfisa.com.na/legislative-instruments/
- The industry may commence with reviewing and providing comments on the subordinate legislation.
