Public Notice on FIMA Act Formal Consultation for Stock Exchanges
Namibia Financial Institutions Supervisory Authority (NAMFISA) requires public stakeholders to review and comment on recently gazetted subordinate legislation implementing the Financial Institutions and Markets Act. 10 JUNE 2025 FORMAL CONSULTATION ON SUBORDINATE LEGISLATION OF THE FINANCIAL INSTITUTIONS AND MARKETS ACT (FIMA) The Namibia Financial Institutions Supervisory Authority (NAMFISA) herewith informs the public impacted by the implementation of the Financial Institutions and Markets Act, No. 2 of 2021, of the following.
- NAMFISA has uploaded the recently gazetted Subordinate Legislation (Government Gazette #8660 – GENERAL NOTICE NO. 335 dated 09 June 2025), on the NAMFISA website, accessible via the link below: ➢ Link: https://www.namfisa.com.na/regulatory-frameworks/
- The public is encouraged to review and provide comments on the subordinate legislation.
- Kindly submit your comments in the format of the enclosed “Comments Template”, on or before 11 July 2025 to Busiswa Yawa at byawa@namfisa.com.na and copy projectnewdawn@namfisa.com.na.
