Public Notice on FIMA Act Subordinate Legislation Consultation
The Namibia Financial Institutions Supervisory Authority (NAMFISA) has published updated regulations and standards under the Financial Institutions and Markets Act for formal industry consultation. Regulated entities must review these subordinate laws and submit their feedback using the designated Comments Template by 28 February 2022. Responses should be directed to NAMFISA’s project team via email, with contact details provided for technical queries regarding the implementation process.
23 NOVEMBER 2021 FORMAL CONSULTATIONS ON FINANCIAL INSTITUTIONS AND MARKETS ACT (FIMA) SUBORDINATE LEGISLATION The Namibia Financial Institutions Supervisory Authority (NAMFISA) herewith informs its regulated industry impacted by the implementation of the Financial Institutions and Markets Act, no. 2 of 2021 of the following:
- The updated Regulations and Standards are uploaded on the NAMFISA website. The Regulations and Standards can be accessed by using the link below. Link: https://www.namfisa.com.na/legislative-instruments/
- The industry may commence with reviewing and providing comments on the subordinate legislation.
