Public Notice on FIMA Act Subordinate Legislation Consultation

The Namibia Financial Institutions Supervisory Authority (NAMFISA) issued updated subordinate legislation under the Financial Institutions and Markets Act, requiring regulated entities to review the revised regulations. Industry stakeholders must submit their formal feedback using the designated Comments Template directly to NAMFISA by 28 February 2022. 23 NOVEMBER 2021 FORMAL CONSULTATIONS ON FINANCIAL INSTITUTIONS AND MARKETS ACT (FIMA) SUBORDINATE LEGISLATION The Namibia Financial Institutions Supervisory Authority (NAMFISA) herewith informs its regulated industry impacted by the implementation of the Financial Institutions and Markets Act, no. 2 of 2021 of the following:

  1. The updated Regulations and Standards are uploaded on the NAMFISA website. The Regulations and Standards can be accessed by using the link below.  Link: https://www.namfisa.com.na/legislative-instruments/
  2. The industry may commence with reviewing and providing comments on the subordinate legislation.
  3. Kindly address your responses, in the format of the enclosed “Comments Template” on or before 28 February 2022, directly to Ms. Anesia Cloete at acloete@namfisa.com.na and copying projectnewdawn@namfisa.com.na.
