The Central Bank of Bolivia will implement automatic debits for quarterly contributions to the Depositor Protection Fund from all Financial Intermediation Entities, starting with the fourth quarter of 2024. These contributions, mandated by Article 518 of Law N° 393, will be 1.25‰ of the average daily balance of public obligations for the quarter. The amounts will be debited from their Current and Reserve Accounts in national and foreign currency on the fifteenth day of the month following the concluded quarter, or the next business day if that date falls on a weekend or holiday.
EXTERNAL CIRCULAR La Paz, January 2, 2025 CIEX N° 1/2025 FROM: GENERAL MANAGEMENT FINANCIAL ENTITIES MANAGEMENT TO: FINANCIAL INTERMEDIATION ENTITIES SUBJECT: QUARTERLY CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE DEPOSITOR PROTECTION FUND Gentlemen: The Central Bank of Bolivia informs all Financial Intermediation Entities that, starting from the fourth quarter concluded of the 2024 fiscal year and in application of Article 518 of Law N° 393 on Financial Services of August 21, 2013, it will automatically debit the quarterly contributions for the Depositor Protection Fund (contribution from financial intermediation entities) from their Current and Reserve Account or Reserve Account in national and foreign currency. The debited amount will be equivalent to one point twenty-five per thousand (1.25‰) of the average daily balance of obligations with the public in the quarter. Contributions to the Depositor Protection Fund for each quarter will be made on the fifteenth day of the month following the concluded quarter; if this day falls on a weekend or holiday, the contributions will be made on the next business day.
