Resolution 048/2012

The Board of Directors of the Central Bank of Bolivia amends items 14 and 15 of the 2012 Fee and Fine Tables, increasing the commission for the first-time deposit of US dollar cash by the financial system from 0.05% to 0.06%, and for the first-time withdrawal from 0.06% to 0.08%. These modifications apply to requests made to the Central Bank's vault and are effective as of May 2, 2012.

BOARD RESOLUTION NO. 048/2012 SUBJECT: INTERNATIONAL OPERATIONS MANAGEMENT - APPROVES MODIFICATION TO THE COMMISSIONS TABLE FOR SERVICES AND FINE TABLE OF THE CENTRAL BANK OF BOLIVIA FOR THE 2012 MANAGEMENT PERIOD.

VIEWED: The Law 1670 of October 31, 1995, of the Central Bank of Bolivia (BCB). The Statute of the BCB approved by Board Resolution No. 128/2005 of October 21, 2005, and subsequent modifications. Board Resolution No. 159/2011 of December 13, 2011, which approves the Commission Table for Services and the Fine Table of the BCB for the 2012 management period. The Report from the International Operations Management BCB-GOI-INF-2012-8 of April 18, 2012. The Report from the Legal Affairs Management BCB-GAL-SANO-INF-2012-116 of April 20, 2012.

CONSIDERING: That according to article 54, subsection n) of Law No. 1670, it is the responsibility of the Board to formulate policies regarding the internal management of the BCB, supervising their execution. That according to article 11, numeral 45) of the BCB Statute, the Board has among its faculties the power to set annually the table of commissions to be charged for the services it provides.

That the International Operations Management, according to Report BCB-GOI-INF-2012-8, recommends the modification of commissions for deposit and withdrawal of cash in United States dollars requested by the financial system. That as expressed in Report BCB-GAL-SANO-INF-2012-116, in the opinion of the Legal Affairs Management, there is no legal impediment for the Board to consider the modification of the Commission Tables for Services and Fines of the BCB for the 2012 management period.

THEREFORE, THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CENTRAL BANK OF BOLIVIA RESOLVES:

Article 1.- Modify the Commission Table for Services and the Fine Table of the Central Bank of Bolivia for the 2012 management period, in points 14 and 15, as follows:

Article 2.- This provision enters into force as of May 2, 2012.
