Resolution 061/2001: Remuneration of Correspondency Services by Delegated Administration

The Board of Directors of the Central Bank of Bolivia authorizes payments for correspondency services by delegated administration to authorized financial entities starting July 1, 2001, establishing a cost-sharing ratio of 60% for the General Treasury of the Nation and 40% for the Central Bank of Bolivia. This resolution modifies the previous distribution rates set in Resolution 088/98 and explicitly revokes that earlier resolution upon the effective date of this one. The execution and compliance of these terms are assigned to the Presidency and General Management.

BOARD RESOLUTION NO. 061/2001

SUBJECT: MONETARY OPERATIONS MANAGEMENT – REMUNERATION OF CORRESPONDENCY SERVICES BY DELEGATED ADMINISTRATION.

HAVING VIEWED: Law No. 1670 of October 31, 1995. Board Resolution 146/97 of September 2, 1997. Board Resolution 154/97 of October 7, 1997. Board Resolution 088/98 of September 15, 1998. Board Resolution 020/2001 of March 13, 2001. PRES-GAL Resolution 03/2001 of June 12, 2001, which awards the Correspondency Service by Delegated Administration. The Report from the Monetary Operations Management SOSP 018/2001 of June 26, 2001. The Report from the Legal Affairs Management SAJU No. 787/2001 of June 26, 2001.

CONSIDERING: That according to PRES-GAL Resolution 03/2001, it is necessary to determine the distribution of the cost of the Correspondency Services by Delegated Administration between the Central Bank of Bolivia and the General Treasury of the Nation.

That the SOSP 018/2001 Report recommends modifying the cost distribution determined in Board Resolution No. 088/98, changing it from 57% to 60% for the payment corresponding to the TGN (General Treasury of the Nation) and from 43% to 40% for the payment corresponding to the BCB (Central Bank of Bolivia).

That the Legal Report SAJU No. 787/2001 considers that there is no legal impediment for the Board to proceed to fix the proposed percentages.

THEREFORE,

THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CENTRAL BANK OF BOLIVIA

RESOLVES:

Article 1.- Authorize the payment of correspondency services by delegated administration to the authorized financial entities awarded under Exception Contracting 04/2001, starting from July 1, 2001, according to the following negotiated proportion:

General Treasury of the Nation 60% Central Bank of Bolivia 40%

The payment procedure will be determined contractually with the awarded entities.

Article 2.- Repeal Board Resolution 088/98 of September 15, 1998, from the effective date of this Resolution.

Article 3.- The Presidency and General Management are charged with the execution and compliance of this Resolution.
