Resolution 134/2003 Approving Fee and Fine Tables for 2004

The Board of Directors of the Central Bank of Bolivia approves the 2004 Fee and Other Income Table and the Fine Table, which become effective on January 2, 2004. This resolution revokes previous resolutions regarding fees and fines for the 2003 management period. The approved tables establish specific monetary charges for international operations, financial entity maintenance, and administrative services, as well as a schedule of fines for non-compliance, such as insufficient funds, delayed information submission, and service suspensions.

BOARD RESOLUTION NO. 134/2003 SUBJECT: INTERNATIONAL OPERATIONS MANAGEMENT - APPROVES FEE AND OTHER INCOME TABLE AND FINE TABLE FOR 2004 MANAGEMENT.

VIEWING: Law No. 1670 of October 31, 1995. Board Resolution No. 022/2002 of March 5, 2002, which approves the Fine Table of the Central Bank of Bolivia. Board Resolution No. 140/2002 of December 10, 2002, which approves the Fee and Other Income Table for the 2003 management period. Board Resolution No. 054/2003 of May 29, 2003, which approves a Complement to the Fee and Other Income Table of the Central Bank of Bolivia.

The Report from the International Operations Management (GOI) No. 08/2003 of November 10, 2003. The Report from the Legal Affairs Management (SANO) No. 214/2003 of November 11, 2003.

CONSIDERING: That according to Article 54, subsection n) of Law 1670, it is the responsibility of the Board to formulate policies regarding the internal management of the BCB, supervising their execution. That the commissions charged by the Central Bank of Bolivia for the provision of banking and financial services are intended to cover their respective operating costs. That it is necessary to periodically adjust the Fee and Other Income Table and the Fine Table of the Central Bank of Bolivia, in order to adapt them to current market conditions.

THEREFORE, THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CENTRAL BANK OF BOLIVIA RESOLVES:

Article 1.- Approve the Fee and Other Income Table and the Fine Table of the Central Bank of Bolivia for the 2004 management period, attached to this Resolution, which will enter into force as of January 2, 2004.

Article 2.- As of January 2 of the following year, Board Resolutions No. 140/2002 of December 10, 2002 and 022/2002 of March 5, 2002 are hereby repealed.

Article 3.- The Presidency and the General Management are charged with the execution and compliance of this Resolution.
