BOARD RESOLUTION NO. 172/97

SUBJECT: INTERNATIONAL AFFAIRS - TABLE OF TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR CHARGING COMMISSIONS AND OTHER REVENUES FOR THE 1998 MANAGEMENT PERIOD.

HAVING VIEWED:

Law No. 1670 of October 31, 1995.

Law No. 1488 of April 14, 1993.

Board Resolution No. 056/97 of January 21, 1997, which approves the Table of Terms and Conditions for Charging Commissions and Other Revenues for the 1997 management period.

The Report from the International Affairs Management SOPIN - DAPAG No. 822/97 of December 12, 1997.

The Report from the Legal Advisory ALEG No. 320/97 of December 12, 1997.

CONSIDERING:

That in accordance with Article 54, subsection n) of Law No. 1670, it is the responsibility of the Board to formulate policies regarding the internal management of the BCB, supervising their execution.

That the rates charged by the Central Bank of Bolivia for the provision of banking and financial services are intended to cover their respective operating costs.

That it is necessary to periodically adjust the Table of Terms and Conditions for Charging Commissions and Other Revenues, in order to align the rates with the real conditions of the market.

Therefore,

THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CENTRAL BANK OF BOLIVIA

RESOLVES:

Article 1.- Approve the Table of Terms and Conditions for Charging Commissions and Other Revenues for the 1998 management period, attached to this Resolution, which will enter into force starting from January 2 of the following year.

Article 2.- Revoke Board Resolution No. 056/97 of January 21, 1997.

Article 3.- The Presidency and General Management are charged with executing this Resolution.
