Regarding the inclusion of Offshore Banking Unit (OBU) data in SBS-2, SBS-3, and interest rate statements.
With the expansion of authorized transactions, the operations of Offshore Banking Units (OBUs) are increasing rapidly. In this context, the following instructions are issued to collect information related to Offshore Banking Units regarding SBS-2, SBS-3, Advances, Deposits, and Interest Rates:
a) For Offshore Banking Units, the OBU ID code must be provided in place of the bank branch code in SBS-2 and SBS-3 data, in accordance with SD Circular No. 03 (21 March, 2022). b) Information regarding deposit and advance interest rates for Offshore Banking Units must be included in monthly statements. c) These instructions will be effective for quarterly returns (SBS-2, SBS-3, Advances, Deposits, Interest Rates, etc.) for October-December, 2024, and for monthly returns (Interest Rates, etc.) starting from December, 2024.
