Regarding the refixation of the time limit for submission of SBS-1 reports.

Reference is drawn to Statistics Department Circular No.-06/2014 dated 21 December, 2014 and subsequent letters DSMS-1(20)/2015-2124 dated 15 September, 2015.

According to the aforementioned letters, banks have been regularly submitting information on liabilities and assets of the relevant month through the SBS-1 report to this department by the 20th of the following month. The economic survey of Bangladesh is prepared based on the data/information collected through the SBS-1 report, which is used in the formulation of the country's monetary policy. In order to expedite the work of the economic survey, it is advised to duly comply with the following instructions for the timely and accurate submission of the said report to the Statistics Department.

1. From the month of December, 2018 to May, 2019, the SBS-1 report must be submitted by the 17th of the following month instead of the 20th.
2. From the month of June, 2019 onwards, reports for subsequent months must be submitted by the 15th of the following month.
3. For each quarter, information on Gross Domestic Product at Basic Prices (GDP-BP) and Gross Domestic Product at Market Prices (GDP-MP) included in the SBS-1 report must be submitted provisionally (provisional) within the submission deadline of the following month (according to items 1 and 2) and finally by the 25th.
4. Additionally, the National Accounts Statistics (NAS) SBS-1 report must also be submitted in the same manner according to items 1, 2 and 3.
