Subject: Maintaining Cash Services at Bank Branches in Mango-Producing Areas on Saturdays During the Mango Season.
Sir,
In view of the production of permanent/temporary mangoes (such as Langra, Himsagar, Fajli, and Litchi), litchis (such as Langra, Litchi, and Dina Bati), and other fruits in districts like Naogaon (producing Sapota, Litchi, and Dina Bati), and Rajshahi and Bogra (producing Mango and other fruits), it is necessary to ensure that banks maintain cash services and liquidity support at their permanent/temporary branches in these areas. Therefore, banks are instructed to provide necessary cash services to ensure cash availability at branches in these mango-producing areas up to June 31, 2026.
Banks may utilize funds under Section 45 of the Companies Act, 1991 for this purpose.
