Second Set of Technical Standards under Regulation (EU) 2022/2554 on Digital Operational Resilience for the Financial Sector Submitted to the European Commission

The European Supervisory Authorities have submitted the second set of Technical Standards under Regulation (EU) 2022/2554 to the European Commission, following an interinstitutional drafting process and public consultation. These standards, which supplement the Regulation, carry a delivery deadline of July 2024 and are now under review by the European Commission with the objective of adoption in the coming months. Financial entities and other stakeholders are invited to refer to the links provided by the European Banking Authority, the European Insurance and Occupational Pensions Authority, and the European Securities and Markets Authority for the submitted Technical Standards.

As detailed by the latter circular, Regulation (EU) 2022/2554 (“the Regulation”) is to be supplemented by, inter alia, a series of Technical Standards and Guidelines. Following an interinstitutional drafting process by the European Supervisory Authorities (”ESAs”) and a public consultation as detailed by Circular titled ESAs Joint Committee Public Consultation on the Second Set of Technical Standards under Regulation (EU) 2022/2554 on Digital Operational Resilience for the Financial Sector, the second set of Technical Standards with a delivery deadline of July 2024, has been submitted to the European Commission (“EC”) by the ESAs. The EC will now review the submitted Technical Standards with the objective of adopting them in the coming months. Financial entities and other stakeholders are invited to refer to the following ESAs links for the submitted Technical Standards:

  2. European Insurance and Occupational Pensions Authority
