Scheduled banks and financial institutions in Bangladesh are required to contribute 5% of their Corporate Social Responsibility budget, determined based on the net profit as of December 31 of the previous year, to the Prime Minister's Education Assistance Trust fund by May 30 of the current year. This contribution is intended to support the education of needy students and must be reported under the education sector in the reporting format issued via SFD Circular Letter No. 01 dated April 10, 2022.

Dear Sir,
Regarding the provision of grant to the Prime Minister's Education Assistance Trust Fund under Corporate Social Responsibility
It has been decided that scheduled banks and financial institutions shall contribute 5% of the funds allocated under the Corporate Social Responsibility sector annually to the Prime Minister's Education Assistance Trust Fund, with the aim of increasing the fund.
This fund from the Corporate Social Responsibility of scheduled banks and financial institutions will make a positive contribution to increasing the size of the Prime Minister's Education Assistance Trust Fund, thereby forming human resources suitable for building a developed Bangladesh by ensuring uninterrupted education for needy students in the country.
In this regard, instructions are hereby given to deposit 5% of the Corporate Social Responsibility budget determined based on the net profit (audited/unaudited) as of December 31 of the previous year annually into the bank account of the Prime Minister's Education Assistance Trust Fund by May 30 of the relevant year.
Regarding this expenditure, advice has been given to report under the education sector in the reporting format issued via SFD Circular Letter No.-01 dated April 10, 2022.
