SGDB N° 013/2014: Social Interest Housing Operations System: Interest Rates and Exchange Rate Version 4.29

The Central Bank of Bolivia requires financial entities to implement version 4.29 of the social interest housing operations reporting system, introducing new transaction codes (REN and CVS) and a commercial value field (valor_com) for valuation purposes. The new format becomes mandatory on May 19, 2014, with a deadline of May 31, 2014, to submit reports for the period between February 28 and May 18, 2014, containing information registered under the REN and CVS codes.

Ladies and Gentlemen:

The Central Bank of Bolivia informs financial entities that the new version of the reference system is available on the intranet of the Financial System Supervision Authority for download and corresponding application. Version 4.29 includes the following changes:

  • Introduces into the transaction code (tra_cod) the accounting classification of social interest housing operations according to the attached table.
  • Includes the new field Commercial value (valor_com) which records the amount of the commercial value for social interest housing credits assigned in the professional appraiser's valuation, expressed in UFV at the exchange rate of the day corresponding to the application of the credit rate.
  • Separates concept code 33 (foreign exchange operations with the BCB) to differentiate operations with the BCB by the entity and by third parties according to the attached table.

The new version will be in effect starting May 19, 2014, and reports must be sent under this format from that date. Reports corresponding to the period from February 28 to May 18 that contain information registered in the REN and CVS codes must be sent by May 31, 2014.
