The Central Bank of Bolivia amends Section 3.1 of Circular No. 10/2013 regarding the description of fields for check security features. The regulation modifies the validator code requirement, changing the specification from using only position 46 to using positions starting from 46 for printing the security code. This change applies to authorized financial intermediation entities operating with current accounts.

Ladies and Gentlemen:
The Central Bank of Bolivia submits for application and compliance the modification of point 3.1 (Description of the fields) of the referenced circular related to the characteristics of the forms and security elements of the check under the following terms:
Where it says: 3.1 Description of the fields Validator code. This field will use position 46 for the printing of a validator code or security digit that validates the check code and the account code.
It must say: 3.1 Description of the fields Validator code. This field will use positions starting from 46 for the printing of a validator or security code of the check information.
