SGDB No. 015/2012: Application for Capturing Housing Price Index Information

The Central Bank of Bolivia makes version 1.00 of the CIVI application available for financial entities to capture data on real estate used as collateral for housing mortgages. This reporting requirement applies specifically to properties securing loans for land acquisition for construction or the purchase of individual or horizontal property housing. Financial intermediation entities are instructed to coordinate technical transmission aspects with designated bank officials during April 2012.

FROM: GENERAL MANAGEMENT FINANCIAL ENTITIES MANAGEMENT TO: FINANCIAL ENTITIES (BANKS, MUTUALS, COOPERATIVES, AND PRIVATE FINANCIAL FUNDS) SUBJECT: Application for capturing information for the housing price index.

Ladies and Gentlemen:

The Central Bank of Bolivia notifies financial entities that, on April 16, 2012, version 1.00 of the application for capturing the information requested via circular letter /ASFI/DEP/2052/2012 will be available for download on the Supernet of the Financial System Supervision Authority. The report will correspond to real estate properties that constitute collateral for housing mortgages intended for the acquisition of land for the construction of housing and the purchase of individual or horizontal property housing.

Likewise, attached to this document is a compact disc containing the following information:

  • Installer for the "CIVI" application version 1.00
  • Operational guide for loading information and operating the application.
  • Maps identifying the general and specific divisions established for the application for the cities of La Paz, Cochabamba, and Santa Cruz.

During the month of April 2012, Financial Intermediation Entities may coordinate the transmission of information, as well as the technical aspects inherent to the new system, with the following officials of the Central Bank of Bolivia:
