The Central Bank of Bolivia mandates that the Clearing and Settlement Chamber Administrator activate Automated Clearing House (ACH) compensation cycles on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays from 09:00 to 19:00, effective June 1, 2012. These cycles are settled alongside the third cycle of Fridays within the High-Value Payment System (SIPAV). The document specifies settlement windows for net debtor positions (09:00 to 11:30) and net creditor positions (11:31 to 12:00), updating the SIPAV Operational and IT Guide (v.2.0) to reflect these mandatory operating hours for SIPAV participants.

FROM: GENERAL MANAGEMENT FINANCIAL ENTITIES MANAGEMENT TO: PARTICIPANTS IN THE HIGH-VALUE PAYMENT SYSTEM-SIPAV (FINANCIAL ENTITIES, ACCL S.A., EDV S.A.) SUBJECT: ACTIVATION OF SETTLEMENT CYCLES FOR THE AUTOMATED CLEARING HOUSE (ACH) ON WEEKENDS AND HOLIDAYS

Dear Sirs and Madams:

The Central Bank of Bolivia notifies SIPAV participants that, effective June 1, 2012, the Clearing and Settlement Chamber Administrator will activate compensation cycles for the ACH on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays from 09:00 to 19:00, with settlement carried out together with the 3rd cycle of Fridays in the SIPAV.

The schedules for the settlement of these cycles are as follows:

  • Payment of Net Multilateral Debtor Position (E17) from 09:00 to 11:30
  • Payment of Net Multilateral Creditor Position (E08) from 11:31 to 12:00

These schedules are added to the SIPAV Operational and IT Guide (v.2.0) and complement what is established in Chapter I – Schedules (pages 12 and 13). It is recalled that the Guide forms part of the SIPAV Participation Contract and its compliance is mandatory.
