EXTERNAL CIRCULAR OF THE CENTRAL BANK OF BOLIVIA La Paz, October 2, 2014 SGDB No. 040/2014

FROM: GENERAL MANAGEMENT FINANCIAL ENTITIES MANAGEMENT TO: FINANCIAL ENTITIES SUBJECT: OPERATIONS CAPTURE SYSTEM: INTEREST RATES AND EXCHANGE RATES VERSION 4.33

Ladies and Gentlemen:

With the objective of improving the quality of the information submitted, version 4.33 of the reference system will be published. This version will include information validators for credits to the productive sector within the framework of the interest rate regulations established in Supreme Decree No. 2055.

To identify the productive portfolio, CAEDEC information is required. Therefore, it is recalled that the fields for economic activity and credit destination, which use CAEDEC codes, are of character type and not numeric. That is, when presenting "0" (zeros) at the beginning, they must be maintained, which does not occur when dealing with numeric data.

Furthermore, it is communicated that, with the objective of monitoring interest rates for fixed-term deposits, the field dpf_mas has been added, in which the following must be reported:

CodeDescription
1The sum of the amounts of fixed-term deposits that the holder possesses in the financial intermediation entity and the amount of the fixed-term deposit being reported exceed Bs 70,000
2The sum of the amounts of fixed-term deposits that the holder possesses in the financial intermediation entity and the amount of the fixed-term deposit being reported do not exceed Bs 70,000

To facilitate the implementation of the new version of the System, the new structure of the rates file is attached.
