Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer All Scheduled Banks and Financial Institutions operating in Bangladesh
Subject: Regarding the continuation of the BDT 25,000 (Twenty-Five Thousand) Crore Pre-authorization Scheme for the CMSME Sector.
You are hereby directed to refer to SMESPD Circular No. 04 dated July 19, 2022, and SMESPD Circular Letter No. 02 dated January 31, 2023, issued by this department.
Considering that the CMSME sector is a priority area for the government, there is significant demand for the aforementioned scheme among entrepreneurs, and to facilitate relatively low-interest/profit and easy loan/investment facilities, as well as to consider the broader interests of the customers in this sector, the 3 (three) year term BDT 25,000 (Twenty-Five Thousand) Crore scheme will remain operational until further orders.
Furthermore, all other instructions mentioned in the aforementioned circulars and circular letters shall remain unchanged.
These instructions are issued under the powers conferred by Section 45 of the Companies Act, 1994, and Section 41 of the Finance Company Act, 2023.
These instructions shall come into force immediately.
Yours faithfully,
