Update on Basel II Implementation Project

The Central Bank of Trinidad and Tobago invites financial institutions licensed under the Financial Institutions Act, 2008, to a meeting on November 17, 2016, at 9:30 AM to discuss Quantitative Impact Study findings and Basel II/III implementation steps. The bank requires Project Sponsors, Technical Working Group members, and reporting template staff to attend and confirm their presence by November 16, 2016. Attendees must register via email to Baselconsultation@central-bank.org.tt or in writing to the undersigned.

CIRCULAR LETTER TO ALL FINANCIAL INSTITUTIONS LICENSED UNDER THE FINANCIAL INSTITUTIONS ACT, 2008

UPDATE ON BASEL II IMPLEMENTATION PROJECT

The Central Bank of Trinidad and Tobago (Central Bank) wishes to thank all institutions for participating in the recent Quantitative Impact Study (QIS) which was concluded on July 29th 2016.

All submissions have been reviewed, and the Central Bank now invites you to a meeting on Thursday November 17, 2016 at 9:30AM to discuss the key findings of the QIS. We will also communicate the next steps for the implementation of Basel II/III in Trinidad and Tobago at this meeting. We therefore request the attendance of Project Sponsors, members of the Technical Working Group and the staff associated with the completion of the reporting template.

We kindly ask that you confirm your attendees by November 16, 2016, by electronic mail to Baselconsultation@central-bank.org.tt, or in writing to the undersigned. If you have any queries, please contact Ms. Ayana George at 625-4835 extension 5022.
