Update on the Implementation of the Liquidity Regulations to Give Effect to the Liquidity Coverage Ratio

The Central Bank of Trinidad and Tobago informs licensees and financial holding companies that the Draft Financial Institutions (Liquidity) Regulations have not yet been promulgated, delaying the implementation of the Liquidity Coverage Ratio originally targeted for January 2025. The regulator is finalizing the draft LCR Reporting Template to incorporate consultation feedback and data validations, with the revised version to be issued before the LCR takes effect. Affected entities are directed to contact the Basel II/III Implementation team for any queries regarding these changes.
