Amendments to Policy Statement to Regulation 44-101 respecting Short Form Prospectus Distributions
The regulator amended Section 1.7 of the Policy Statement to Regulation 44-101 regarding short form prospectus distributions. The revision expands the acceptable exchanges for comparable disclosure to include the Canadian Securities Exchange alongside the TSX Venture Exchange. Additionally, the amendment updates the referenced subsections of Regulation 44-101 to include subsection 2.7(4) for information circular requirements.
CHANGES TO POLICY STATEMENT TO REGULATION 44-101 RESPECTING SHORT FORM PROSPECTUS DISTRIBUTIONS
- Section 1.7 of Policy Statement to Regulation 44-101 respecting Short Form Prospectus Distributions is amended by replacing “In both instances, prospectus level disclosure or comparable disclosure prescribed by the TSX Venture Exchange for such issuer must be provided in an information circular or similar disclosure document pursuant to subsections 2.7(2) and (3) of the Regulation” in paragraph (5) by “In both instances, prospectus level disclosure or comparable disclosure prescribed by the TSX Venture Exchange or the Canadian Securities Exchange, as the case may be, for such issuer must be provided in an information circular or similar disclosure document pursuant to subsections 2.7(2), (3) and (4) of Regulation 44-101”.
