The National Insurance and Sureties Commission modifies Annex 13.2.1 of the Single Insurance and Surety Circular to establish the specific dates in 2020 that are considered non-working days for insurance institutions and mutual insurance companies. These designated dates allow such entities to close their doors and suspend operations, rendering them invalid for the purposes of operations authorized under their respective permits. Amending Circular 18/19 of the Single Insurance and Surety Circular

AMENDING CIRCULAR 18/19 OF THE SINGLE INSURANCE AND SURETY CIRCULAR
(Annex 13.2.1.)
The National Insurance and Sureties Commission, based on the provisions of Articles 366, fraction II, 372, fractions VI, XIII and XLII, 373 and 381 of the Law of Insurance and Surety Institutions, and
CONSIDERING
That in accordance with what is established in Articles 195 and 344 of the Law of Insurance and Surety Institutions, insurance institutions and mutual insurance companies, as well as surety institutions, may only close their doors and suspend their operations on days authorized for this purpose by the National Insurance and Sureties Commission, through publication in the Official Gazette of the Federation, considering such days as non-working days for the purposes of the operations that said institutions and companies are authorized to carry out under the terms of their respective authorizations.
That the Presidency of the Republic, through Decrees published in the Official Gazette of the Federation on October 6, 1993 and January 27, 2006, has established the Official Calendar which includes dates of national commemoration, which, due to their significance and importance, are mandatory days off for workers of the dependencies and entities of the Federal Public Administration.
That in accordance with what is established in Article 48 of the Internal Regulations of the National Insurance and Sureties Commission, the days on which the work of the Commission itself is suspended, or when its offices remain closed, with prior notice given by it, will be considered non-working days for all legal effects.
For the foregoing, the National Insurance and Sureties Commission has resolved to modify the Single Insurance and Surety Circular to determine which days will be considered non-working days in the year 2020, in the following terms:

SINGLE.- Annex 13.2.1. of the Single Insurance and Surety Circular is modified.
TRANSITIONAL
SINGLE.- This Amending Circular shall enter into force the day following its publication in the Official Gazette of the Federation.
This is made known to you, based on Articles 366, fraction II, 372, fractions VI, XIII and XLII, 373 and 381 of the Law of Insurance and Surety Institutions.
