AMENDING CIRCULAR 2/26 OF THE SINGLE CIRCULAR ON INSURANCE AND SURETIES

AMENDING CIRCULAR 2/26 OF THE SINGLE CIRCULAR ON INSURANCE AND SURETIES

(NINETIETH TRANSITORY PROVISION)

The National Commission of Insurance and Sureties, based on the provisions of Articles 366, Section II, 367, Section II, 372, Sections VI and XLII, 373, and 381 of the Law on Insurance and Surety Companies, and:

CONSIDERING

That as a result of the information security incident that occurred on January 30, 2026, which was communicated by this National Commission of Insurance and Sureties, various actions have been implemented to safeguard the systems and services provided by this decentralized body.

That the aforementioned incident should not affect the continuity of the validity of the authorizations and registrations of Individual Agents and Authorized Representatives of Legal Entity Agents, Mandated Agents, and Adjusters whose expiration date is April 30, 2026; therefore, in order to provide legal certainty and security, this Commission has resolved to issue the following modification to the Single Circular on Insurance and Sureties.

That in accordance with Articles 14 and 15, first paragraph, of the Regulations on Insurance and Surety Agents, and Provisions 32.4.2. and 32.7.1. of the Single Circular on Insurance and Sureties, the authorizations of Individual Agents and Authorized Representatives of Legal Entity Agents must be endorsed every three years and will be granted provided that the requirements set forth in the aforementioned Regulations and the corresponding Provisions are met.

That in accordance with Provisions 36.1.1. and 36.1.6. of the aforementioned Circular, the registration of Insurance Adjusters must be renewed every three years and will be granted provided that the requirements set forth in the aforementioned Circular are met.

That in light of the foregoing, it is considered necessary to issue this Amending Circular under the following terms:

AMENDING CIRCULAR 2/26 OF THE SINGLE CIRCULAR ON INSURANCE AND SURETIES

(Ninetieth Transitory Provision)

SINGLE.- The Ninetieth Transitory Provision is added to the Single Circular on Insurance and Sureties, to read as follows:

NINETIETH.- The authorizations of Individual Agents and Authorized Representatives of Legal Entity Agents, Mandated Agents, and Adjusters that were required to be endorsed starting January 15, 2026, will remain valid until April 30, 2026, including those authorizations that should have been endorsed during the aforementioned period.

TRANSITORY PROVISIONS

FIRST.- Publish in the Official Gazette of the Federation.

SECOND.- This Amending Circular will enter into force the day after its publication in the Official Gazette of the Federation.
