Section 4(d) of the Guidelines on Commercial Paper (CP) for Banks is replaced to require that the issuer company's status in the Credit Information Bureau (CIB) report be Standard, with no classified status track record for the preceding one year. This instruction applies to all Scheduled Banks in Bangladesh and comes into force with immediate effect.

Managing Directors/Chief Executives All Scheduled Banks in Bangladesh Dear Sir, Amendment of Guidelines on Commercial Paper (CP) for Banks. Please refer to the BRPD Circular No. 07, dated 25 September 2016. The section 4(d) of the aforesaid guidelines is hereby replaced with the following: “The current status shown in the Credit Information Bureau (CIB) report of the issuer company shall be „Standard‟ (all unclassified loans other than Special Mention Account) and have no track record of classified status for last one (1) year.” This instruction shall come into force with immediate effect.
