Amendments to the Group Companies Registration Regulations, 2008
The Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan amends Regulation 3, clause (v) of the Group Companies Registration Regulations, 2008, by substituting the threshold of "two hundred" with "fifty". This change applies to the definition or criteria specified in that clause for group companies registration. The amendment is effective upon publication in the official notification S.R.O. 811 (I)/2019 dated July 11, 2019.
GOVERNMENT OF PAKISTAN SECURITIES AND EXCHANGE COMMISSION OF PAKISTAN -.-.-.- Islamabad, the 11th July, 2019 NOTIFICATION S.R.O. 811 (I)/2019.- In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 512 of the Companies Act, 2017 (XIX of 2017), the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan is pleased to make the following amendments to the Group Companies Registration Regulations, 2008, the same having been previously published vide notification S.R.O. 590 (I)/2019 dated May 24, 2019, as per requirement of proviso to said sub-section (1) of said section 512, namely:- In the aforesaid Regulations, in regulation 3, in clause (v), for the words “two hundred” the words “ fifty” shall be substituted.
