Financial Intermediation Entities must maximize efforts to provide public service at all Financial Attention Points nationwide, maintaining the hours established in Circular Letter ASFI/DSR I/CC-2885/2020. If entities decide not to open points in municipalities with local lockdowns or specific territorial provisions, they are required to submit documentation justifying that decision. Supervised entities may only suspend public service under the specific situations outlined in Article 9, Section 2 of the Regulation for Consumer Attention Time, and must promptly communicate such suspensions to financial consumers and the authority.

In accordance with the provisions of Supreme Decree No. 4245 of May 28, 2020, the continuation of the national, dynamic, and conditioned quarantine was established, based on risk conditions in the jurisdictions of the Autonomous Territorial Entities (ATEs).
Regarding this matter, in accordance with Article 13 of the aforementioned Supreme Decree, this Supervisory Authority maintains the public service hours for Financial Intermediation Entities as established in Circular Letter ASFI/DSR I/CC-2885/2020 of May 8, 2020, urging Financial Intermediation Entities to maximize their efforts to ensure that public service is provided at all Financial Attention Points (PAF) available nationwide.
Consequently, in cases where PAFs are located in municipalities where local authorities have imposed lockdowns or where there are other specific provisions from the ATEs, and Financial Intermediation Entities decide not to open them, we kindly request that you submit the documentation justifying the decision made.

Finally, it is recalled that Supervised Entities may only suspend public service in the situations established by items a) through e) of Article 9, Section 2 of the Regulation for Consumer Attention Time in Supervised Entities, contained in Chapter IV, Title I, Book 4° of the Compilation of Norms for Financial Services, and must additionally communicate such situation promptly to financial consumers and ASFI within the established timeframe.
