Regarding the change of name of 'Padma Bank Limited' to 'Padma Bank PLC.'

In accordance with the provisions of Section 11A(a) of the Companies Act, 1994, the name of 'Padma Bank Limited' has been changed to 'Padma Bank PLC.' (in English 'Padma Bank PLC.') in the list of scheduled banks by Bangladesh Bank, effective from Tuesday, 2 January 2024, corresponding to 18 Poush 1430. A copy of Notification No. BRPD(LS-1)/745(65)/2024-46 issued on 2 January 2024 regarding this matter is attached herewith for your information and necessary action.

By virtue of the power conferred by Section 37(2)(p) of the Bangladesh Bank Order, 1972 (President's Order No. 127 of 1972), Bangladesh Bank hereby changes the name of the scheduled 'Padma Bank Limited' to 'Padma Bank PLC.' (in English 'Padma Bank PLC.'), effective from Tuesday, 2 January 2024, corresponding to 18 Poush 1430.
