BRPD Circular Letter No. 01: Name change of Padma Bank Ltd to Padma Bank PLC
The name of 'Padma Bank Limited' has been changed to 'Padma Bank PLC.' in the list of scheduled banks, effective from Tuesday, 2 January 2024, corresponding to 18 Poush 1430. This change is made by Bangladesh Bank in accordance with Section 11A(a) of the Companies Act, 1994, and Section 37(2)(p) of the Bangladesh Bank Order, 1972. A notification (No. BRPD(LS-1)/745(65)/2024-46) issued on the same date confirms this for all scheduled banks operating in Bangladesh.
