BRPD Circular Letter No. 11: Setting up of Complaint Cell in zonal offices of the banks

Scheduled banks in Bangladesh are advised to establish a Complaint Cell in their Zonal Offices to facilitate the prompt settlement of customer complaints. Banks must submit the name, designation, telephone, fax number, and email ID of the appointed officer(s) for each new cell to the regulator within one month of the circular's date.

Dear Sir, Setting Up of "Complaint Cell" in Zonal Offices of the Banks. Reference is made to BRPD Circular No‐01, dated 05 January, 2005, it has been observed that the complaints against bank branches under the jurisdiction of Bangladesh Bank Branch Offices cannot be settled quickly as there is no Complaint Cell in the Zonal Offices of the banks like the Head Offices. Therefore, you are advised to set up Complaint Cell in your Zonal Offices for prompt settlement of the complaints received. You are also advised to send us the Name, Designation, Telephone & Fax No. and e‐mail ID of the respective appointed officer(s) of the newly opened Complaint Cell in the Zonal Offices within a month from the date of this circular.       Sincerely Yours,   Sd/‐  (K.
