These exemptions apply to scheduled banks operating in Bangladesh under the powers granted by Section 45 of the Banks Company Act, 1991.

Dear Sir,
Regarding the limitation on the overseas travel of bank company employees.
Reference is invited to BRPD Circular Letter No. 16 dated 22 May 2022 on the above subject.
Through the aforementioned circular letter, restrictions have been imposed on overseas travel in certain areas, and personal overseas travel has also been restricted. In case of special necessity, if personal overseas travel is essential, such personal overseas travel with proper authorization will remain outside the scope of the aforementioned ban.
Furthermore, the following areas will not be covered by the aforementioned circular letter's instructions: 3.1. Travel abroad for performing the holy Hajj in 1443 Hijri/2022 and for medical treatment abroad based on the recommendation of a specialist doctor; 3.2. Travel by foreign nationals employed in banks to their home countries and by employees working in branches of foreign banks located in Bangladesh to the headquarters of those foreign banks; and 3.3. Participation in training/seminars/workshops/study tours fully authorized by foreign investor organizations.
These instructions are issued under the powers conferred by Section 45 of the Banks Company Act, 1991.
