BRPD Circular Letter No. 38: Regarding Loan Rescheduling of Shipbuilding Industry

Reference is invited to BRPD Circular Letter No. 12, dated 20 June 2023, on the subject cited above. 02. Under the aforementioned circular, it was directed that customers may apply to the bank by depositing the necessary cash amount as a down payment within 90 (ninety) days from the date of issuance of the circular for the rescheduling of loan/investment accounts; however, it has come to our notice that due to various reasons outside the control of the sector, a significant number of enterprises in this sector have not been able to submit applications to the respective banks by fulfilling the pre-conditions to avail the benefits distributed in the circular to date. 03. In this regard, the time limit for submitting applications to the bank by customers after depositing the necessary cash amount as a down payment has been extended until 30 November 2023. 04. In addition, all other instructions of BRPD Circular Letter No. 12/2023 shall remain unchanged. 05. These instructions are issued under the powers conferred by Section 45 of the Bank Company Act, 1991, and shall come into force immediately. Yours faithfully,
