Context of the name change of 'AB Bank Ltd' to 'AB Bank PLC'

In accordance with Section 11C(a) of the Companies Act, 1994, the Bangladesh Bank has changed the name of 'AB Bank Ltd' to 'AB Bank PLC' (in English: AB Bank PLC) in the list of scheduled banks, effective Monday, 27 November 2023, corresponding to 12 Agrahayan 1430. A copy of the notification No. BRPD(LS-1)/745(12)/2023-10188 issued on 27 November 2023 is enclosed herewith for your information and necessary action.

Under the powers conferred by Section 37(2)(p) of the Bangladesh Bank Order, 1972 (Presidential Order No. 127 of 1972), the Bangladesh Bank hereby changes the name of 'AB Bank Ltd', included in the scheduled banks, to 'AB Bank PLC' (in English: AB Bank PLC), effective Monday, 27 November 2023, corresponding to 12 Agrahayan 1430.
