Regarding the change of name of 'National Credit and Commerce Bank Limited' to 'National Credit and Commerce Bank PLC.'

In accordance with the provisions of Section 11A(a) of the Companies Act, 1994, Bangladesh Bank has changed the name of 'National Credit and Commerce Bank Limited' to 'National Credit and Commerce Bank PLC.' (in English 'National Credit and Commerce Bank PLC.') in the list of scheduled banks, effective from Wednesday, 28 Agrahayan 1430 corresponding to 13 December 2023. A copy of Notification No. BRPD(LS-1)/745(20)/2023-10767 issued on 13 December 2023 in this regard is attached herewith for your information and necessary action.

By virtue of the power conferred by Section 37(2)(p) of the Bangladesh Bank Order, 1972 (President's Order No. 127 of 1972), Bangladesh Bank hereby changes the name of the scheduled 'National Credit and Commerce Bank Limited' to 'National Credit and Commerce Bank PLC.' (in English 'National Credit and Commerce Bank PLC.') with effect from Wednesday, 28 Agrahayan 1430 corresponding to 13 December 2023.
