BRPD Circular No. 04: Bank account for freedom fighters
The circular mandates that freedom fighters may open bank accounts to receive their honorarium by depositing 10 Taka, provided they present their National Identity Card and the Freedom Fighter Honorarium Payment Register. Banks are prohibited from imposing minimum balance requirements or charging any fees or charges on these specific accounts. This directive applies to all government-owned commercial and specialized banks operating in Bangladesh and takes effect immediately.
