BRPD Circular No. 04: Stopping disbursement of money from Bank Account

Dear Sir,

Regarding the prohibition of withdrawal of funds from Bank Accounts.

Reference is invited to BRPD Circular No.-03 dated April 30, 2013 of this department on the above subject.

In light of Writ Petition No.-4390/2013 filed in the High Court Division of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh, and in accordance with the order of the Honorable High Court dated May 05, 2013, no withdrawal or transfer of funds from bank accounts for any purpose other than paying wages and benefits to workers injured and killed in the building collapse of Rana Plaza, Savar Bazar, Savar, Dhaka, shall be permitted for the owner Md. Sohel Rana and all directors of the following garment factories located in the said building, both as directors and in their individual names (list of directors attached):

If no account is operated by the aforementioned institutions/persons, a 'zero' report must be submitted.
