BRPD Circular No. 04: Stopping disbursement of money from Bank Account
The Banking Policy and Regulation Department of Bangladesh Bank orders all scheduled banks to stop any withdrawal or transfer of funds from the bank accounts of Md. Sohel Rana, owner of Rana Plaza, and the directors of five specific garment factories located in the building, except for payments related to wages and benefits for injured and deceased workers. Banks must submit a report confirming compliance and the latest status of the accounts of these entities by May 14, 2013, or file a 'zero' report if no accounts are held.
