Dear Sir,

Regarding the display of Bangladesh Bank's 'Hotline' number (16236) along with the Bank's own 'Hotline' number at a visible place for the purpose of providing banking services and quick resolution of complaints.

Telephone communication is playing an important role in accelerating digital banking programs for the formation of "Smart Bangladesh". Providing advanced banking services and resolving related complaints through telephone communication, along with written means, is an effective and time-saving method. For this purpose, every bank has its own 'Hotline' number. Additionally, Bangladesh Bank has a 'Hotline' number (16236) for obtaining redress if one becomes a victim of harassment while receiving banking/financial services or has complaints against the bank/financial institution.

2. Now, in order to provide banking services to citizens and quickly resolve complaints, it is advised to record the Bangladesh Bank 'Hotline' (16236) number along with the Bank's own 'Hotline' number in the complaint boxes available at the Bank's Head Office, all branches, and sub-branches, and display them at a visible place.

3. This directive is issued under the powers granted by Section 45 of the Bank Company Act, 1991.
