Dear Sir,

Regarding the change of designation title 'Deputy General Manager' and 'General Manager' of Bangladesh Bank.

With the approval of the competent authority, the designation titles 'Deputy General Manager' and 'General Manager' of Bangladesh Bank have been changed to 'Additional Director' and 'Director (Abbreviated form of the Bengali name of the Office/Department/Cell/Unit/Academy)', respectively. In the context of using these titles in English, they shall be referred to as 'Additional Director' and 'Director (Abbreviated form of the English name of the Office/Department/Cell/Unit/Academy)'.

2. In this regard, you are advised to use the changed designation titles in all types of communication with this Office, including letters/e-mails, for official purposes.

3. Administrative Circular No-08 dated 26 May 2022 of the Human Resources Department-1 of Bangladesh Bank regarding the change of designation titles is enclosed herewith for information and necessary action. These instructions shall be implemented immediately.

Regarding the change of designation titles 'General Manager' and 'Deputy General Manager' of Bangladesh Bank.

2. Attention is invited to the Administrative Circulars No-8 and 20 dated 27/02/1985 and 11/07/1985, respectively, on the subject matter above.

3. Pursuant to the decision taken in the 418th meeting of the Board of Directors held on 11 November 2021, and with the approval of the competent authority, the designation titles 'General Manager' and 'Deputy General Manager' of the following cadres/sides of Bangladesh Bank have been changed as follows:

4. Except for the designations mentioned above, all other existing designations shall remain unchanged as before.

5. Although the designation titles have been changed, the salary grades of the previous positions shall apply to the changed designation titles. Even if the changed designation titles are exactly the same or similar to the designation titles of any other institution, the salary and other benefits applicable to the designation titles of that institution shall not be considered for the changed designation titles of Bangladesh Bank. The changed designation titles used/mentioned in all rules, regulations, policies, procedures, manuals, and other instructions of Bangladesh Bank shall be considered as the changed designation titles used/mentioned therein.

6. The abbreviated forms of the Bengali and English names of the required departments/cells/units/academies of the Head Office are mentioned in Annexure-A attached herewith.

7. This arrangement shall be implemented immediately.
