The Connecticut Department of Banking approved full-service branch openings for Bankwell Bank in Stamford and First County Bank in Fairfield. The Commissioner also approved the name change of Darien Rowayton Bank to Laurel Road Bank. Additionally, the Department withdrew its notice of intent to issue a cease and desist order and impose a civil penalty against Bay View Law Group, P.C.

Section 361-145 of the Connecticut General Statutes requires certain applications for a branch, of for a limited branch at which loans will be made, address how the establishment of the branch will be consistent with safe and sound banking practices and promote the public convenience and advantage.
