Circular to Banks Operating in the Kingdom
Greetings,
With reference to the recent developments concerning the coronavirus pandemic, and in line with the Defense Orders issued, and with the aim of enhancing the ability of banks to deal with new developments and circumstances surrounding operations, I reiterate the numerous directives of the Central Bank issued recently, including those contained in our Circular No. (10755/3/10) dated 2020/8/25. This is achieved by taking the necessary precautionary measures to ensure social distancing among employees and reducing the number of those present in bank buildings to the minimum necessary to ensure the execution of your operations, by activating the business continuity plan and remote work mechanisms as a precautionary measure in compliance with public safety principles in this regard and to preserve the safety of your employees and clients.
Please accept the assurances of my highest consideration.
The Governor Dr. Ziad Fries
