Dear Sir,

Regarding the registration fee for CIB online services, imposition and realization of service charges for CIB reports prepared through the online process, imposition and realization of penalties on banks/financial institutions that fail to upload batch monthly contributions of credit information on time through the online system, and imposition and realization of penalties for breach of confidentiality of credit information contained in CIB reports.

Reference is drawn to your attention to CIB Circular No. 02/2011 dated 04 May, 2011, on the subject matter above. It is directed in paragraph 2 of the said circular that service charges will be leviable at the prescribed rate when customer CIB reports are downloaded from the CIB online system by banks and financial institutions through the New Contract Enquiry, Existing Contract Enquiry, and Check Enquiry menus.

2. In accordance with ACI Circular Letter No. 01, dated 23/03/2025 of the Agriculture Credit Department, directions have been provided that CIB reports must be verified for any amount of new loans sanctioned or existing loans renewed under all sectors covered by Agriculture and Rural Credit (excluding MFI Linkage).

3. Now, it has been decided to waive the service charges applicable for CIB reports prepared for Borrowers, Co-borrowers, and Guarantors associated with new loan applications or existing loan renewals up to a maximum of 2.50 Lakh Taka in all sectors covered under Agriculture and Rural Credit, including the Crop-Crop sector (Livestock, Fishery Farming, Agriculture and Irrigation Machinery, Rural Finance, and others). In this context, banks are directed to send the following table to the Bureau with the relevant application form (sample described in the "Agriculture and Rural Credit Policy and Program" prepared by the Agriculture Credit Department of Bangladesh Bank for the fiscal year) and, if necessary, the loan sanction letter, containing details of the Borrower, Co-borrower, and Guarantor associated with the new loan application or existing loan renewal, for CIB reports prepared monthly, by the 5th (five) of the following month, to avail the exemption from service charges leviable under paragraph 2 of CIB Circular No. 02/2011, dated 04 May, 2011.

Details of loan applicants who have obtained exemption from service charges for CIB reports prepared in all sectors covered under Agriculture and Rural Credit, including the Crop-Crop sector (Livestock, Fishery Farming, Agriculture and Irrigation Machinery, Rural Finance, and others).

6. This direction will take effect immediately.
