Financial Intermediation Entities (EIFs) are authorized to deposit US dollar cash into Central Bank of Bolivia (BCB) vaults for sale to the issuer. The deposited amounts are credited to the EIFs' national currency current and/or reserve accounts at the official exchange rate, and EIFs may request transfers between their foreign and national currency accounts for equivalent amounts. Cash deposits under this mechanism are exempt from deposit commissions, and all transactions must follow the operational procedures established by the BCB Treasury Management.

Gentlemen:
The Central Bank of Bolivia (BCB), within the framework of its powers and in accordance with the resolution of its Board of Directors dated July 14, 2026, communicates to the Financial Intermediation Entities (EIFs) the implementation of a mechanism for the deposit of United States dollars (USD) in cash at the BCB, intended to strengthen Net International Reserves, assist in the transition to the new exchange rate regime established by the Executive Branch, and facilitate the return of US dollar deposits to the clients of financial entities, according to the following procedure:
EIFs may make deposits of USD in cash in the BCB's vaults or boxes for sale to the issuing institution.
The amount corresponding to the deposited USD will be credited to the EIF's current account and/or reserve account in national currency, at the official exchange rate in effect at the time of the operation.
For the deposit made, EIFs may request, with a note addressed to the International Operations Management, the transfer between their current and/or reserve accounts in Foreign Currency to National Currency for an equivalent amount.
Exceptionally, no commission will be charged for the deposit of United States dollars in cash in the BCB's vault for operations carried out within the framework of the mechanism provided for in this Circular.
Deposits must be made in accordance with the operational procedures established by the BCB Treasury Management, observing the requirements regarding the entry of monetary material, verification, custody, and logistical coordination.
