Financial Intermediation Entities (EIFs) are authorized to deposit US dollar cash into Central Bank of Bolivia (BCB) vaults for sale to the issuer. The deposited amounts are credited to the EIFs' national currency current and/or reserve accounts at the official exchange rate, and EIFs may request transfers between their foreign and national currency accounts for equivalent amounts. Cash deposits under this mechanism are exempt from deposit commissions, and all transactions must follow the operational procedures established by the BCB Treasury Management.
